What came across your mind when you heard of plastic surgery? Yes, Beauty... regardless of its price, the guts to go under the knife, they did it just because the wants to get prettier. 7 out of 10 korean girls aged 35 and below already had it. i once visit a plastic surgeon out of my curiousity. A well-known korean plastic surgeon that happens to be in Singapore for consultations for potential patients from here. To my surprise, he mentioned that he usually have 15 to 20 patients a day! and.. for a nose jobs done, he will charge about USD$3000. what a price! regardless, plastic surgery is still on demand. Most Asian always wanted double eye lids like caucasians. These plastic surgeon do operations for eye-lids, nose, chin, ear, almost everything you can find on the face. So, now you know why all Korean actors/actresses are handsome/pretty? :)
Woo plastic surgery~~ haha i think i am happy with my face and i am really scared to needles... so .... i think i will pass... haha
ReplyDeleteBut i have know many people who wish to get their hole face rearrange~ hehe~ I guess that overall its just natural beauty vs plastic... i mean who dun wish to look pretty?? and if looking pretty can boast one confidence y not? ^^
Huaha..although I have some "extra" fats in certain parts of my body=p, I am very grateful of what I have right now. I think that plastic surgery is very risky and that it has its own long-term side effects (look at Michael Jackson now!). There is always 50-50 chances that people might regret after the surgery. Once you go for it, you can't take it back. Thus, if they really thinks plastic surgery can enhance their self-esteem and is the best solution, then I suggest they find the best surgeons.
ReplyDeleteBefore we attempt to criticize about plastic surgery, we must understand the true intention(s) of the person undergoing the knife.
ReplyDeleteOne example as mentioned briefly in the previous comments, plastic surgery may enhance the person's self-esteem. Able to go out and be idolized by others without having the feeling of being viewed by others as an ugly looking person. If the person looks better after surgery than they did previously, then what is there to argue about?
Beauty is within the eye of the beholder, thus, human beings will always have different perspectives when looking at the same object (in this case: person). No one has the right to judge or criticize about people's appearance for no one in this world is perfect and we have to respect a person's decision if he/she wants to do plastic surgery to please themselves. More importantly, people whom have done plastic surgery should never regret the final result.
omg alot difference in the two pictures...
ReplyDeletei think in our society, appearance is almost the top priority in everyone's mind and the first thing anyone would see.
i m in favor of plastic surgery despite the risks. if there is a way to improve outer beauty why not? however i am definitely not putting inner beauty down. i will 100% feel that inner beauty is more important. but looking good is important too. Looking good will allow some to feel more confident but not always the case. One only have a lifetime so looking pretty/handsome and dressing up is good. After reaching old age, outer beauty will deem useless.
Feel Free to drop by my blog =)
Plastic Surgery Bane or boon? Haha fun topic there.. Honestly I believe that it doesn't matter if you've subjected yourself to the knives or not, it's who you really are deep down inside. Looks are but assets to me, as when one possess them it actually improves self esteem, and that in a way brings out the potential in one, which would otherwise be left buried?
ReplyDeleteamazing plastic surgery..she looks totaly different!!
ReplyDeletei dont really care if one's taken plastic surgery or not, coz honestly sometimes people still judge someone by it's cover..no wonder many people take the risk and go for surgery...
if taking a surgery have good effect for their lifes..why not?
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"~
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that one should change his/her appearance to be accepted in the society. Cuz.. in fact, he/she has already been accepted by the society. I felt that by going through a plastic surgery is like wearing a mask where ever you go. Your heart reveals your true self yet you are too afraid to tell the truth of who is the hero. Thus, plastic surgery is never necessary. When someone accept you, they want you to be who you are.
I just think that we human beings should not play around with what has been given to us, for everyone is unique. Perhaps not always physically, but also mentally. Although some choose to do plastic surgery to meet the demands of their career, or maybe to enhance their reputation in the public face.
